The Philadelphia 76ers are sitting pretty right now, and that should make Steve Nash’s Nets furious and highly motivated.
Philly fans, I assure you that you haven’t seen these Nets with all members healthy. Don’t you worry, that day will come. On Wednesday night in Philadelphia, a depleted Nets squad put up a real fight against the team that believes they are the best in the East. Their players have even chirped and discredited the Nets, something we all know is just envy and fear. The Sixers were very interested in James Harden when his trade rumors were swirling like a soft-serve machine. Of course, we all know how that went.
While the Nets were defeated by just two possessions, their squad put up a great fight, narrowly losing 123-117.
While the Sixers do move into first place, there is a lot of basketball left to be played. Down the stretch, teams change, and seeding changes. So is Brooklyn worried? Not at all.
Brooklyn looks to bounce back and get back in the win column on Friday against the Charlotte Hornets. Tip-off is set for 7:30 PM Eastern Time.
